Storm Literary Agency

Boutique literary agency representing quality literature from exceptional authors and illustrators

First, there was a  teacher who loved books almost as much as she loved little children. Then, there was an artist who loved pirates, almost as much as he loved cats. As it turns out, that artist could also write, and that teacher loved the pirate stories he wrote. And she shared those stories with the children she taught. The children loved the pirate stories; they also loved the cats. They wanted more stories with pirates and cats. They also wanted an adventure. And the stories gave them so many adventures. And that is that: Storm Literary Agency came about because it needed to. The children requested it. And so did the cats.

Storm Literary Agency welcomes submissions from unique and talented authors and illustrators, those who are not afraid to embrace their capacity to teach, to entertain, to engage and to honor people, young and old, who hopefully, will be changed by the work represented here.

Michelle Henrie completed her degree in interior design, architecture, and sales from Weber University in Utah. She managed retail stores, raised four children, and acted as the contractor for her house, completing it in eight months. Michelle volunteered, teaching art for K-6 for twenty years, believing all children need access to creativity. Her art business provided work for the western United States, and she appeared on QVC. For the past five years, Michelle has written professionally. Her work includes business and cooking blogs, marketing content, and a commercial for Listen Talk. She also helped oversee production, worked as a makeup artist, and became an extra when Listen Talk needed more talent. Her cameo is available on their website.

Her blog talesuntangled.wordpress.com started in 2011, reviewing over 400 books, and includes author interviews. She keeps in contact with her authors, and they’re willing to write blurbs for her work. The Utah chapter of Romance Writers of America invited Michelle to judge contests for the last few years. The Davis Mini-Conference asked Michelle to give a presentation on character development and voice. She is also a speaker at the Pre-Quills Conference. She’s won honorable mentions and third place in first chapter contests from The League of Utah Writers and provides articles for their newsletter. The L. Ron Hubbard’s Writers of the Future Contest awarded Michelle multiple honorable mentions and two silver honorable mentions. Michelle continues to write romance and illustrate, and a sample of work is available on her website.
