Storm Literary Agency

Boutique literary agency representing quality literature from exceptional authors and illustrators

First, there was a  teacher who loved books almost as much as she loved little children. Then, there was an artist who loved pirates, almost as much as he loved cats. As it turns out, that artist could also write, and that teacher loved the pirate stories he wrote. And she shared those stories with the children she taught. The children loved the pirate stories; they also loved the cats. They wanted more stories with pirates and cats. They also wanted an adventure. And the stories gave them so many adventures. And that is that: Storm Literary Agency came about because it needed to. The children requested it. And so did the cats.

Storm Literary Agency welcomes submissions from unique and talented authors and illustrators, those who are not afraid to embrace their capacity to teach, to entertain, to engage and to honor people, young and old, who hopefully, will be changed by the work represented here.

Kimberlee Gard

Kimberlee Gard is an award-winning children’s author who spent her childhood running from books instead of reading them. A learning disorder held her back until she was taught the tools to overcome her dyslexia. From this came Kimberlee’s aspiration to write books for children that would bring about a love of reading and encourage even the most reluctant and struggling reader. She lives on a small farm in Colorado with her husband, sons, and a gaggling group of barnyard friends.

Kimberlee is the award-winning author of several picture books including The Little i Who Lost His Dot, The Day Punctuation Came to Town, The Mighty Silent e, and Snoozapalooza.  Her books have made best-seller lists and Vooks, a streaming app for kids, has transformed her titles into living story books that are now featured on Netflix. Her next project, Red Rover, Red Rover, Send Another Vowel Over will be out in 2024. In addition to writing, Kimberlee speaks at conferences and schools where she shares her story and struggle with dyslexia, and encourages others to believe that with determination, dedication, and persistence, any dream can come true.
