Julie Hansen

Julie Hansen is a picture book author whose works are often inspired by her Chinese and German heritage. She is a language teacher with over 15 years of experience in education. Julie writes to prolong the wonders of childhood, evoke a smile or a laugh, and help make sense of an ever-expanding world. She lives in the suburbs of Chicago with her husband, three children, one dog and a flock of chickens. In addition to writing and teaching, she creates educational content for contemporary picture books.
