Joshua Timothy

Josh is an artist out of Layton, Utah. He studied illustration at Brigham Young University, graduating with a BFA focused on concept art in 2014. He has spent the past ten years working independently as an underground comic artist and is currently preparing his debut graphic novel to go on submission with Storm.

He is eager to return to the above-ground world of KidLit (the fresh air is nice), having illustrated picture books for various individuals and companies for a few years after graduation. He loves creating imaginative scenes with beautifully rendered lighting and vivid color in his work and hopes his future pieces will instill the sense of wonderment he treasures within the children who see them.

His favorite TV shows and video games include Clarence, When They Cry SOTSU, and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. For books, it’s mostly the geeky shonen stuff, like Fullmetal Alchemist and Gachiakuta, but he’ll enjoy reading just about any comic or graphic novel you put in front of him.
