J.J. Howard
JJ Howard is an author and English teacher who makes her home in sunny South Florida. Her YA debut That Time I Joined the Circus was published by Scholastic in 2013. She is also the author of the YA novel Tracers, the companion to the 2015 Temple Hill film starring Taylor Lautner, as well as a series of middle grade Wish novels for Scholastic, including: Sit, Stay, Love, Pugs and Kisses, The Love Pug, Pugs in a Blanket, and Girls Just Wanna Have Pugs. She also wrote Z On Location for the American Girls series. JJ has taught every grade from sixth to college, and loves incorporating contemporary YA and MG into her curriculum. And, for good or ill, she is always fully up to date on the latest teen slang: a side effect of spending her days with thirteen-year olds. When she is not writing–or grading papers–you can find her reading at the beach, reading on her porch, or “just browsing” on Poshmark.
