Jennifer Walker is a fourth-grade teacher and writer of middle grade and young adult fiction, with degrees in both Education and Psychology from the University of Alberta. She has published two contemporary YA novels entitled Within the Folds of a Swan’s Wings and Finding Aloha, and is currently working on a few upcoming middle grade books. She has been awarded grants from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Edmonton Arts Council in recognition of her works.
When she’s not reading or writing, you’ll most likely find Jennifer in a yoga studio, in the kitchen baking muffins, or going for long walks with her family and their one-hundred-pound Bernedoodle. She's also famous for publicly embarrassing herself by singing terrible show-tunes, practicing 90's dance moves, and tapping around her fourth-grade classroom in her happy-tapping shoes. Jennifer is an active member of SCBWI, the Writers' Guild of Alberta and the Writers' Union of Canada.
