Jean Daigneau

Jean Daigneau has been published in the adult and children's newspaper and magazine markets, including Highlights and Fun for Kidz, and has sold educational testing material, craft ideas, and greeting card text. Her work has appeared in The Guide to Literary Agents and The Children’s Writer’s and Illustrator’s Market. Her first nonfiction book, Code Cracking for Kids (Chicago Review Press), was published in October 2019, and a second book with that publisher, Ellis Island and Immigration for Kids, was released in January 2022.
Jean has appeared on local radio and television talking about the SCBWI and children's writing and has presented at libraries and SCBWI conferences. Currently she writes a column called Genre Spotlight for Children’s Book Insider. She is a former regional and assistant regional advisor for the SCBWI Ohio North region. Jean is a founding partner of a children’s writers’ critique service along with Gloria G. Adams called Two-4-One Kid Critiques. She lives in Kent, Ohio. Jean is represented by Victoria Selvaggio.
