Storm Literary Agency

Boutique literary agency representing quality literature from exceptional authors and illustrators

First, there was a  teacher who loved books almost as much as she loved little children. Then, there was an artist who loved pirates, almost as much as he loved cats. As it turns out, that artist could also write, and that teacher loved the pirate stories he wrote. And she shared those stories with the children she taught. The children loved the pirate stories; they also loved the cats. They wanted more stories with pirates and cats. They also wanted an adventure. And the stories gave them so many adventures. And that is that: Storm Literary Agency came about because it needed to. The children requested it. And so did the cats.

Storm Literary Agency welcomes submissions from unique and talented authors and illustrators, those who are not afraid to embrace their capacity to teach, to entertain, to engage and to honor people, young and old, who hopefully, will be changed by the work represented here.

J.E. Larson

J.E. Larson’s journey in writing began with a good old-fashioned spiral notebook in middle school. Jotting down stories and characters that filled her imagination and never seemed to leave. As an adult, with the encouragement of her husband, Kevin, she bravely worked up the courage to open her laptop and start writing. Utilizing the quiet 5 am mornings before work and the kids to create fantasy worlds with magic, adventure, and a dash of romance.

After earning her undergraduate degree in natural science with a minor in geology and two master’s degrees in education, J.E. began writing her debut novel, A Trial of Fate, book one of the Valdor Series. Her debut novel won the Shelf Unbound Longlisted 2024 award, along with a special edition sold internationally by The Ink Pages.

When J.E. is not writing, she loves staying active and spending quality time with her two daughters and husband. When a free moment strikes, J.E. can be found hiking through the mountains or returning to her first love of playing volleyball.

J.E. lives in Alaska, sharing the love of her home state with her husband, two daughters, and their two Labrador retrievers.
