J.M. Blakemore
J.M., together with co-author and wife Connie Chang, is an author of speculative fiction. His favorite holiday is Halloween.
J.M. received an MA in British and American Literature and a BA, double majoring in English and Spanish, from the University of Utah, where he taught undergraduate writing. He is also a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, where he subsequently taught as an adjunct professor.
J.M. and Connie’s co-written short fiction has been recommended by Locus magazine, was featured most recently in khōréō magazine, was shortlisted for the 2022 Brave New Weird Award, and won the 2018 NYC Midnight Flash Fiction Competition.
If J.M. is not at his computer, or reading under dog and cat on the couch, check the vegetable patch. He’s down there watching the birds, muttering about the squirrels, and hand-feeding the toddler sun-ripened tomatoes.
