Born and raised in India, Gauri Dalvi Pandya proudly carries her Hindu culture with her wherever she goes. After working for more than a decade as a writer in the advertising industry across India, Malaysia, and South Africa, Gauri discovered her passion for writing for children. Her debut picture book, A Kurta to Remember, was a finalist for the 2025 Pedro and Daniel Intersectionality Book Awards. Gauri is also the winner of the 2026 SCBWI Illinois Many Voices Award. She is a teacher and content creator for SHINE (Spiritual Heritage of India for Next-Generation Empowerment), a program that shares the wonders and glory of India with children.
