Storm Literary Agency

Boutique literary agency representing quality literature from exceptional authors and illustrators

First, there was a  teacher who loved books almost as much as she loved little children. Then, there was an artist who loved pirates, almost as much as he loved cats. As it turns out, that artist could also write, and that teacher loved the pirate stories he wrote. And she shared those stories with the children she taught. The children loved the pirate stories; they also loved the cats. They wanted more stories with pirates and cats. They also wanted an adventure. And the stories gave them so many adventures. And that is that: Storm Literary Agency came about because it needed to. The children requested it. And so did the cats.

Storm Literary Agency welcomes submissions from unique and talented authors and illustrators, those who are not afraid to embrace their capacity to teach, to entertain, to engage and to honor people, young and old, who hopefully, will be changed by the work represented here.

David was born and raised in Buffalo, NY and received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Clarkson University and his master’s degree in business from LeMoyne College. He is happily married to his college sweetheart and is the proud father of triplet daughters, who provide inspiration for his young adult novels.

While David’s day job is rooted in science, he has always sought outlets for his creativity. In 2013, David drafted his first full-length manuscript, hoping he had the fortitude to see it through. While that manuscript will never see the light of day, the experience opened his eyes to the world of fiction writing and fueled his desire to write a novel that would someday find a home on bookstore shelves.

David is the co-facilitator of the Central New York Chapter of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) where he supports his fellow writers and illustrators on their respective publishing journeys. David’s young adult novel, Watering the Seeds of Guilt, was a 2021 Inks & Insight winner in the Master Category and the monthly winner on the Litopia’s Pop-Up Submissions in October 2022. David’s adult science fiction thriller, Fear Factory, was shortlisted for the 2017 Cygnus Award.

David currently resides with his wife in Syracuse, NY.
