Danni Mund
Danni is a writer, reader, philomath, and most of all, dreamer. She grew up in New York City, where she spent much of her time creating magazines filled with potty humor and doomed romances, drawing elaborate dream houses, and observing the city at night from her 18th-storey bedroom window. She has since traded the urban jungle for lush Puerto Rico, where she lives with her husband and two daughters--and where rainbows are as common as mosquitoes, and enormous iguanas roam like prehistoric monsters.
Danni graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Wellesley College with a degree in Art History, later going on to earn a Masters, with Distinction, from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London. Before becoming a full-time writer, she was a Digital Producer with some of the top creative agencies in New York, owned her own branding company, and earned professional certification as an Executive Coach.
Though Danni writes across multiple genres, the visual nature of storytelling in picture books holds an extra special place in her heart. Most recently, she was shortlisted in the New Writers Flash Fiction Competition and for the Fractured Lit Anthology Prize, and published in the Bath Flash Fiction Award's 2023 Anthology.
