Christine Liu-Perkins

Christine Liu-Perkins is the award-winning author of The Quest for a Tangram Dragon (Bloomsbury, 2024) and At Home in Her Tomb: Lady Dai and the Ancient Chinese Treasures of Mawangdui (Charlesbridge, 2014). She has also written articles for various magazines for children and adults. In elementary school, she enjoyed reading encyclopedias and writing reports on topics that interested her. The fun of doing research remains her favorite part of the writing process.
She is a second-generation Chinese American. Growing up influenced by two cultures, plus living in or visiting forty other countries, helps her appreciate different ways that people celebrate life around the world. She is a member of the Nonfiction Ninjas, who sponsor the annual NF Fest, a month of blog posts on the craft of creating nonfiction for children. Christine is represented by Heather Cashman.
