Storm Literary Agency

Boutique literary agency representing quality literature from exceptional authors and illustrators

First, there was a  teacher who loved books almost as much as she loved little children. Then, there was an artist who loved pirates, almost as much as he loved cats. As it turns out, that artist could also write, and that teacher loved the pirate stories he wrote. And she shared those stories with the children she taught. The children loved the pirate stories; they also loved the cats. They wanted more stories with pirates and cats. They also wanted an adventure. And the stories gave them so many adventures. And that is that: Storm Literary Agency came about because it needed to. The children requested it. And so did the cats.

Storm Literary Agency welcomes submissions from unique and talented authors and illustrators, those who are not afraid to embrace their capacity to teach, to entertain, to engage and to honor people, young and old, who hopefully, will be changed by the work represented here.

Chris has been an avid artist his entire life.

After graduating from Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota FL, Chris worked in Minneapolis and Los Angeles as a commercial illustrator/designer for over 12 years.

Soon after, he became interested in writing and illustrating his own stories and published his first children's book Little Sock (Sleeping Bear Press) in 2019. A sequel, Little Sock Makes a Friend, will be released spring 2021.

Chris' work focuses on colorful and vibrant scenes that strive to elicit an emotional connection. Whatever the emotion: loneliness, joy, fear, gratitude, Chris hopes to connect and foster empathy through his art.

He is inspired by solitude in nature, deep connections between family and friends, the humorous or ridiculous aspects of life, and video games and toys from the 90's!

Chris loves spending time being a goofy dad with his wife and two boys. He is often found skateboarding around the neighborhood during the day or going for peaceful walks in the middle of the night.
