Alita Anderson

Alita Anderson is an author and artist whose work intersects creativity, storytelling and healing.
A graduate of Yale School of Medicine, Alita built a longstanding career in medical communications where she guided clients as they shared science’s greatest insights in ways that transformed lives. Alita was inspired to begin writing and illustrating children’s books while volunteering in an arts therapy program with children in her hometown, Atlanta; and has since completed coursework in the UCSD Children’s Book Writing and Illustration program. Alita desires to create stories that both spark wonder and foster skills that support children’s well-being over the course of their lives. When she’s not writing or painting, Alita can be found taking long walks, hugging her lovable mastiff-lab mix or indulging in one too many cupcakes. Alita is represented by Lisa Amstutz. |
