Aga Maszota is a Polish illustrator creating vibrant, whimsical artwork for children’s books, magazines, comics, and literary projects. Inspired by fantasy, anime, nature, and the imaginative landscapes of childhood, she brings humor, tenderness, and expressive depth to every piece. Her exceptionally bright, saturated color palettes give her work a luminous, almost otherworldly quality, transforming everyday scenes into places touched by magic.
Aga’s characters are curious, adventurous, playful, and full of personality. She is especially passionate about portraying girls of all shapes and appearances as brave, capable protagonists with the freedom to explore, make mistakes, and take up space. Her distinctive character design, engaging visual storytelling, and lively attention to detail are especially at home in picture books, board books, chapter books, and middle grade literature, while her atmospheric compositions and striking use of color translate beautifully to young adult covers. Across narrative scenes and vivid spot illustrations, Aga creates inviting experiences that feel dreamlike while remaining relatable and accessible to young readers. She works across digital and traditional media and is happiest in a studio filled with sketchbooks, paints, ceramics, calligraphy supplies, printing tools, stickers, and an ever-growing collection of creations.
